How to pause Windows 11 updates
In the registry, set \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate value NoAutoUpdate to 1.
Add or modify \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX\Settings value FlightSettingsMaxPauseDays to 3650 — this pauses updates for up to 3650 days.
Alternatively, in Windows Settings, select Pause updates and choose the maximum duration.
